What does it mean to be UL GREENGUARD Gold certified? 

VOCs are commonly found in indoor spaces and evaporate at room temperature, which means they can add to indoor and outdoor air pollution. UL GREENGUARD Gold certification verifies that our products meet their standards for low VOC emissions, contributing to improved indoor air quality and compliant with many building code requirements.

UL Solutions, the authority on product safety testing, has established test methods for just about every kind of consumer good you can think of, from furniture to electronics. They have two certification standards to demonstrate compliance with chemical emission levels: GREENGUARD, the first certification of its kind to address indoor air quality, and GREENGUARD Gold, their highest standard for low VOC emissions. 

GREENGUARD Gold, according to UL, is “an elevated certification, providing greater protection for sensitive groups. This certification highlights its role in contributing to healthier environments where safety and well-being is paramount.” By passing the GREENGUARD Gold certification process, Trim-Tex is doubling down on its commitment to create sustainable building materials and safer living spaces.
