Trim-Tex Announces Leadership Transition Supporting Long-Term Growth and 100-Year Plan

Chicago, Ill., January 13, 2026 — Trim-Tex, the industry leader in drywall finishing solutions, today announced a series of leadership appointments. This marks the completion of a multi-year succession plan and reinforces the company’s long-term, generational vision.

“Trim-Tex was built to last,” said Bryan I. Schwartz, Co-CEO of Trim-Tex. “At 57 years old, we are still early in our journey. Our 100-year plan requires leaders who think in decades, not quarters, and this transition reflects that commitment.”

Effective immediately, Bryan I. Schwartz will serve as Co-CEO alongside Joseph Koenig, Jr., who continues in his role. Michael Garcia has been named President of Trim-Tex, assuming responsibility for day-to-day operations and execution of the company’s long-term strategy.

“This marks the successful transition from a second-generation entrepreneurial family-led business to a third-generation professionally managed leadership structure,” Schwartz added. “Scaling the company while preparing the next generation of leaders has been a central focus of our work.”

Garcia will lead Trim-Tex, supported by a talented, carefully selected next-generation leadership team that reflects the company’s intentional investment in developing young, high-capability leaders across the organization.

Trim-Tex also announced that Michael Kohut, a respected industry veteran, has joined the company as Vice President of Sales.

“Michael Kohut brings deep industry experience and a strong customer-first mindset,” said Michael Garcia, President of Trim-Tex. “He strengthens our commercial strategy and complements the energized leadership team we have built.”

With a clear generational vision, disciplined succession, and a leadership team designed for longevity, Trim-Tex continues to build an enduring company prepared for the next century.
