Chamfer Bead

Product Info

Trim-Tex once again breaks new ground with the introduction of Chamfer Bead. If you’re tired of square corners, but Bullnose doesn’t excite you, then Chamfer Bead may be exactly what you’re looking for.
With Chamfer Bead you get two sharp lines on every corner. The chamfered edge softens the room while maintaining the crisp look of a square corner. The rigid vinyl corner is also safer than a sharp square metal corner. Those who have tried Chamfer Bead are calling it the modern look for the new millennium.

Installation Instructions

To use Chamfer Bead, drywall must be set back as shown to the right. Dry fit the bead for length. For two way 90º and 135º intersections, use our #0943 Chamfer Marker. For instructions on how to use the Chamfer Marker Click Here. For 3 way intersections, use our #0940 Chamfer 3 Way Outside Corner. You can also cut the parts to fit any angle with a miter saw. Reverse the plywood blade on your saw for a clean cut.
Basic Method: Staple both legs of the bead every 6-10" with 1/2" long divergent staples.
Superior Method: Liberally apply Trim-Tex 847 spray adhesive to the back of the bead and then to the drywall. Immediately apply to the corner. The spray must still be wet to allow you to easily position the bead. Once in position, press the legs into place using the Trim-Tex Installation Tool. This ensures the bead will properly bond to the wall. Go back a second time to press the legs into place once the adhesive has tacked up. Staple both mud legs every 6-10" with 1/2" long divergent staples.
Finish: Apply multi-purpose joint compound as a first coat and then finish as any Corner Bead. Always caulk all corners and butt joints.
