For long runs, it may be helpful to snap a chalk line as a guide for
the 093V Expansion. Line up the edge of the bead with the chalk line
to ensure a straight line.
093V Expansion is an expansion joint and to function properly, it must
be adhered to the wall. To install the bead, cut the bead to length.
Spray the bead and then the drywall with Trim-Tex
847 Spray Adhesive. Immediately apply to the drywall. The spray
must still be wet to allow you to easily position the bead. Once in
position, press the legs into place using the Trim-Tex
Installation Tool. This ensures the bead will properly bond to the
wall. Go back a second time to press the legs into place once the adhesive
has tacked up. Staple both legs every 6"-8" with 1/2"
long divergent staples. Prior to final sanding, tear off the two tearaway
strips. The center of the V doesn't require primer and only needs the
finish paint to be brushed in. |
